Angband only started supporting more than 16 colors fairly recently, and AFAIK very few variants pulled in that support. NetBSD-6 will now sport the terminfo interface which removes a lot of the problems with the old termcap which is deprecated by The Open Group. #change init sequence to not switch width. They have some specialty software that ran on a Unix server and the software company is moving it to a CentOS 6.2 32 bit server. It is actually a virtual machine using VMWare. Ncurses 5.0 (and possibly other versions) comes with a 'linux' terminfo entry that defines 'cvvis' (= termcap 'vs' ) as “\E[?25h\E[?8c” (show cursor, change size). I had some headache with the readline dependency to termcap/ncurses/terminfo.
